Shri Mahavir Ferro Alloys Private Limited (SMFA) started its operations in 2003-04 with a 100 TPD sponge iron kiln at the Kalunga Industrial Estate in Odisha. The company further expanded the capacities of its sponge iron plant with the addition of a third 100 TPD Kiln along with two 12 Ton induction furnaces with a Continuous Casting Machine (for Billet casting) in the year 2008. Adding one more feather to its expansion program, SMFA commissioned a 12 MW coal-based Captive Power Plant in March 2008 to meet the power requirements of its three 100 TPD sponge iron plants and steel melting shop (SMS).
SMFA has its railway siding, which was approved by the South eastern Railways in the year 2007, and its design and engineering got approved in 2009. The company upgraded the railway siding to a private freight terminal to cater to plants’ requirements and get the benefit from railway policies along with the added business opportunities with the various manufacturing plants in the vicinity. In 2011-12, SMFA ventured into producing power using renewable sources by commissioning a 1 MW solar power plant under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission at Tankajoda village in Sundargarh district of Odisha.
Job Objective
Responsible for managing the store operations, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role involves overseeing the activities of the store personnel, including receiving, storage and issuance of materials and supplies. They will also be responsible to assist the Stores head with day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibility Areas
1. Inventory Management
- Keeping accurate count of all materials in the inventory
- Tracking the movement of materials

- Ensuring all materials are stored and handled in a safe and secure manner
- Proper labelling and identification of materials in the store

- Responsible for coordinating with the logistics team to ensure timely and effective movement of materials

- Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all materials in the inventory and ERP

Key Performance Indicators
1. Inventory record accuracy (Stock audits)
- Measure of how closely the ERP inventory quantity matches the physical inventory (Ratio of number of correct counts to the number of items checked)
2. Average Approval Time
- Average days to approve an indent in the system (after verifying physical stock and correctness of indent data)
3. Lead time for GRN Posting
- Duration between material entry to GRN posting
4. No repetitive item codes
- Ensure standard nomenclature is followed to create material codes in the ERP

5. Stock outs
- Percentage of SKUs (spares & consumables) stocked out (Need to maintain SKUs always between min levels defined in the system)
6. Monthly dashboards & insights
- Review ERP reports (FFR-5, RV035 to RV057) and generate insights - inventory analysis, stock ageing, soon-to-be-expired etc

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate in any discipline/Materials Management Degree.
